Michael Komasinski is CEO of dentsu Americas, the global company’s largest geographic region. He also serves as President, Global Data & Technology. He sits on the Group Executive Management team and leads the Americas Executive Leadership Team.
As CEO of the Americas region, Michael leads 12,000+ people across the company’s 6 brands to drive innovation and impact our client’s growth by leveraging the collective strengths of transformative creativity, media, data, and technology. Michael joined dentsu through the acquisition of Merkle in 2016 and has since played a critical role in the integration and growth of the company’s customer experience and transformation capabilities, most recently as Merkle’s Global CEO. Prior to Merkle, Komasinski held leadership roles at Razorfish, Schawk Retail Marketing, The Nielsen Company, and A.T. Kearney.
As President, Global Data & Technology Michael oversees a global division of over 5,600 practitioners across the Americas, EMEA, APAC and Japan. He is responsible for defining dentsu’s client-facing data-driven technology strategy, including analytics and technology-enabled products & platforms. As part of his role, Michael also oversees the strategy for embedding AI into our integrated operating model through the development of integrated products and platforms, to deliver value and innovation for our clients.
Michael is based in New York City and lives in Brooklyn with his wife, two teenage children, and their two Australian Shepherds. The family moved to NYC in July 2021 after spending four and a half years in London when Michael was serving as President of Merkle EMEA. Michael is a board member for the Ad Council and serves on the client advisory boards for Meta and Microsoft Advertising Innovation.
