Award-winning Journalist & Television Host
Gia Peppers is an award-winning on-air talent, entertainment journalist, content creator, and podcaster originally from Washington, DC. She is most known as the host and co-executive producer of the Urban One and Dentsu Good show, "More Than That with Gia Peppers." In 2023, after broadcasting in over 100 radio markets in the US and streaming on podcasts, the show expanded to television with a limited series on Revolt TV with the same name. A year later, Gia and the entire production team landed their first major nomination from the NAACP Image Awards for "More Than That" in the Outstanding Society and Culture Podcast category. The show also utilizes a Black supply chain in its choice of vendors and partners. Thanks to the leaders at Dentsu Good, it has also invested 16 million dollars into Black-owned businesses.
With over a decade of broadcast experience on-air, she is one of the most sought after voices in culture, wellness, and entertainment. She has also worked as a host and contributor with notable organizations like the Today Show, Access Hollywood, Essence, Amazon Music, the NBA, on BET’s “Black Coffee,” VH1’s “Black Girl Beauty,” and more.
Whether she is asking Rihanna a question on the Met Gala red carpet, interviewing Stevie Wonder about voting rights, hosting events for Michelle Obama's "When We All Vote" initiative or tapped to moderate panels with Vice President Kamala Harris, Gia’s mission is to use her platform for good. In fact, it led her to create an original series titled, "Healed Girl Era Podcast," which currently streams on YouTube, Apple and Spotify. The intention is to create a safe space where guests can share the most impactful eras of their lives and the lessons they learned from them. With the increased demand for conversations about mental health and wellness, she wanted to ensure that public figures had a genuine opportunity to tell their stories, and listeners also had the opportunity to hear from therapists who have the tools to help them heal, as well. Gia had inspiring conversations with impactful leaders like Kelly Rowland, Danielle Brooks, Luvvie Ajayi Jones, Sarah Jakes Roberts, and more.
With faith, hustle, and a whole lot of love for the culture, Gia is still just beginning of building a legacy that will live within the hope of her viewers.
