The Story Lab and youngest Media join forces to launch youngest Labs
Global entertainment company, The Story Lab, today announces it will partner with production studio, youngest Media to launch youngest Labs, a partnership that will connect broadcasters and platforms with viewers and brands.
youngest Labs will unite The Story Lab’s investment and distribution business with youngest Media’s expertise in creating and producing new formats for original broadcast and digital-first content.
Building on and extending the digital-first initiative launched last year, the partnership aims to create ambitiously scaled global formats as well as focussing on a consumer ventures programme and advertiser commissions which will help brands connect with audiences.
The two businesses will be able to call on the diverse scale of The Story Lab’s parent company Dentsu Aegis Network, which is made up of over 20 agencies with deep capabilities spanning the full range of people-based marketing.
youngest Labs will be led by David Flynn and Lucas Church, co-founders of youngest Media, alongside The Story Lab’s Mike McCoy, Executive President UK, Michael Iskas, Global Presdient and Fotini Paraskakis who recently joined from Endemol Shine as EVP, Entertainment.
Earlier this year, youngest Media and The Story Lab teamed up to launch a series of successful formats including Date or Dump, a social-first dating programme, which launched to over two million views. The two companies also partnered on the award-winning international hit Game of Clones, which won best competition reality format at MIPTV earlier this year, and has rolled out in the UK, France, Germany and China.
