3 Silvers, 2 Golds and the Grand Prix for MKTG at the 2019 Pressie Awards
The country’s PR, brand experience, events and social media industry professionals gathered in the heart of Ponsonby at The Sapphire Room in Auckland last week to recognise and celebrate the best campaigns from the prior year at the second Pressie Awards. The awards were organised by the Commercial Communications Council.
The evening saw the industry coming together at the awards ceremony with finalists from many Agencies celebrating with their peers.
MKTG was the name on MC Paddy Gower’s lips, where Dentsu’s PR, sampling and activation cohort walked away with six gongs on the night.
With several finalists recognised across a range of categories, including Kathmandu and Wise Group, it was The Movember Foundation’s “A Moment AGAINST Silence” initiative which earned the team their heavy metal. The integrated agency campaign – with kudos to BC&F Dentsu and Carat – won two Golds for The Best Use of Media Relations and in the “tough to win” category, Strategic Thinking. Plus, three Silvers in Best Sponsorship, Best Experiential Campaign and Most Innovative. The decorated campaign went on to win the most coveted award of the night, the 2019 Pressie Awards Grand Prix winner.
