Dentsu wins at 2020 Beacon Awards

The Commercial Communications Council Beacon Awards for 2020 took place yesterday, Wednesday 10 June, with a different post-COVID format.

The Awards were hosted via live broadcast over Zoom by a comfortable and barefoot Hayley Sproull, with agencies dialling in and a live connection to the winners as they were announced. 

Dentsu had 15 finalists and walked away with 2x Gold Awards, and 4x Silvers for the campaigns as follows:


Charity Category:

Gold – Movember, A moment against silence
Silver – Movember, Happy Hour

Best Creative Media Idea:

Silver – DB, I’m Drinking it for You

Most Effective:

Gold – DB, Seal of Approval
Silver – DB, I’m Drinking it for You

Best Launch:

Silver - DB, Seal of Approval

 

In addition to the above a number of awards were also won by OMD for Meridian Energy, for work in partnership with Dentsu creative agency, BC&F Dentsu.  

A massive congratulations to the Movember, and DB teams for coming away with the metal, but equally thanks to everyone that worked on the campaigns that made finalist too.
