Google gStation is a community based initiative which is aimed at driving inclusion in communities where there is currently limited access to Connectivity and services. By driving inclusion through the provision of Wifi in underprivileged communities Google will be able to contribute back to society to raise economic standings and give people access to opportunities and education they otherwise would not have had.
Solution
By partnering with Google on the launch of gStation, Telkom are assisting to provide access to Technology in these communities and are contributing towards the empowerment of society as whole
Result
124 locations in and around disadvantages communities in Cape Town have been impacted by this campaign with 364 more coming across SA, we have successfully aided in the upliftment of the community furthermore Telkom Brand has seen strong growth on streaming products and have educated more than 432 563 people and have seen positive sentiment gains by 8.45%
