Dentsu Group Taiwan has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for sustainable development with the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy (TAISE). Both parties will collaborate to promote the concept of sustainable marketing and invest in talent cultivation, with a commitment to advancing more socially responsible sustainable strategies in the marketing communication field, thereby injecting positive impact into the industry.

Dentsu Group adheres to the B2B2S(Business to Business to Society) corporate philosophy, striving to integrate sustainability concepts into its business operations. This enables clients to foster business growth while positively impacting society and the environment. To further implement this philosophy, Dentsu group Taiwan has taken the lead in the industry by scientifically implementing carbon reduction measures and has become the first foreign communications group in Taiwan to obtain certification for greenhouse gas auditing standards. Additionally, Dentsu group Taiwan continues to promote internal sustainability initiatives, providing relevant training to over a thousand marketing professionals within the group to enhance their expertise in sustainable marketing.

The collaboration with TAISE marks a significant milestone in Dentsu Group’s commitment to sustainability. Both parties will leverage Dentsu Group’s expertise in sustainable communication and marketing to communicate correct sustainable marketing concepts, assist more businesses in fulfilling their social responsibilities, and promote the sustainable development of Taiwan’s society and industry. TAISE will utilize its extensive research and educational resources to provide diverse course content, offering a solid foundation for cultivating marketing professionals with a sustainability mindset.

President and Board Chairman of TAISE, Eugene Chien stated, “In the global trend of sustainable development, Taiwanese enterprises are facing unprecedented challenges and opportunities. TAISE has been committed to promoting sustainability, engaging not only in academic research but also actively participating in policy-making and corporate collaborations. We understand that internal efforts alone are insufficient; effective communication with all sectors of society, particularly stakeholders, is key to achieving sustainability goals.

This collaboration with Dentsu Group allows us to convey the core concepts of sustainable development to more enterprises and the public. Through the power of marketing communication, we aim to enhance societal awareness and participation in sustainability. We hope this partnership not only cultivate marketing professionals with sustainability perspectives but also builds a bridge for communication between enterprises and society, promoting broader sustainable actions. We believe that only through collaborative efforts can we truly accelerate Taiwan's progress toward a sustainable future.”

CEO of dentsu's Greater North Asia cluster and Taiwan, Jennifer Tang emphasized, “As the global market increasingly transform towards sustainability, corporate marketing strategies must also adapt. We deeply understand that in the process of sustainable development, businesses must not only seek their own growth but also ensure that their social impact guides the entire industry towards a better and more sustainable direction. This has been Dentsu Group’s long-term goal.

“Through this collaboration with TAISE, we will fully leverage Dentsu’s expertise in the marketing communication field to materialize sustainability concepts and make them central to corporate decision-making. We believe that marketing is not just about promoting products; it is about guiding enterprises and society to establish closer and more meaningful connections. We hope this collaboration empowers more industry players and enterprises with sustainable knowledge, making sustainable actions a reality and driving social progress.”

The core objective of this partnership is to cultivate marketing talent with sustainability perspectives through shared knowledge and resources, while promoting companies to implement sustainable development strategies and expand their social impact. Both parties will work together to facilitate businesses in achieving their sustainability goals while jointly advancing society towards a more sustainable future.
