A unique partnership for good is on dentsu Bulgaria's, Isobar Commerce and Global Shapers agenda in 2021, when the four entities come together to fight food wastage with Bulgarian students. Our dentsu Bulgaria's Content Manager Ivana Popova tells more of the project.
In dentsu, we recognize the unique opportunity to inspire people everywhere towards a new way of living. This manifests in many of the Social Impact activities we undertake through our three core areas Dentsu’s “Digital for good” Social Impact area, including The Code and our goal to support 100 000 young people to become empowered digital citizens by 2030.
October 2021 marks the launch of dentsu Bulgaria’s third consecutive Rise Up challenge as part of our efforts in supporting dentsu’s global ‘The Code’ program. This year’s global topic is focused on reducing food waste, on a global level our partner for 2021 campaign is Mondelez.

New partnership with WEF’s Global Shapers Community
In addition to an existing long partnership with Isobar Commerce, 2021 also opened new partnership doors as The Global Shapers Community stepped in as the official project partner for this year’s edition of The Rise Up Challenge in Bulgaria.
Born out of the World Economic Forum, the Global Shapers Community is a youth network aiming to inspiring young people under the age of 30 to act in addressing local, regional, and global challenges in their communities. Today, the organization has more than 13,000 members, spread in nearly 450 hubs in 150 countries.
The Sofia Hub was founded in 2015 and has had members from various backgrounds including social entrepreneurs, tech and legal experts, consultants, researchers, event managers, and energy traders. The outstanding diversity of the Hub has led to the successful execution of several projects. This is the Sofia hub’s first involvement with a project on such a wide educational scale.
The Rise Up Challenge is set to launch in the end of October 2021 with participating schools from all over the country. This year’s initiative aims to provide an enriching experience to empower young people, aged 13-14 with knowledge around digital media, communications, and the impact of food waste on the environment.
