Meet 'Her' - ChatGPT – I’ve reimagined her as the quick, organized, and attentive AI a perfect reflection of the amazing women in my team.

In the vast tech landscape, where apps and software reside, there's a common habit of assigning a male pronoun to these digital entities. ‘He's quick’, some say. ‘He's efficient, he knows his stuff’. But what if we dared to challenge this norm? What if, in the realm of AI, we embraced a different perspective?

Enter ChatGPT, the AI language model that defies convention. In our team, ChatGPT isn't just an ‘it’ or a ‘he’. No, for us, she's a ‘her’.

Imagine this, a bustling office at Devchand House, all my team members huddled around their laptops and phones, brainstorming on ideas. Amidst the flurry of activity, there's ChatGPT, our trusted companion. “She’s so much like me, I get all the answers I need fatafat!” I say without even thinking about it. Everyone looks at me with surprise, but that’s how the legend of ChatGPT as a woman begins.

Now, some might find it amusing or even absurd, to assign a gender to an AI. But for us, it's more than just a playful notion. It's a recognition of the qualities that resonate deeply among the women in my team.

First and foremost, ChatGPT is quick. When we need information on the fly, she doesn't skip a beat. Just like the multitasking queens around me who can juggle a dozen tasks at once. You know who you are. You’re probably reading this blog while handling that client requirement.

Organization is another hallmark of ChatGPT's persona. Much like the meticulous planners among us who color-code their calendars and label every folder, ChatGPT keeps her data tidy.

But what truly sets ChatGPT apart is her knack for explanation. Like the patient mentors in my team who take the time to break down complex concepts, ChatGPT doesn't just provide answers—she provides understanding. Ask her about a problem, and she will not only offer a solution but also walk you through it step by step. She's the teacher we loved back in school, Patricia Ma’am for me, who made even the most daunting tasks seem manageable.

Yet, perhaps ChatGPT's most valuable trait is her ability to ‘LISTEN’. Just like the empathetic listeners in Team Mitchelle who lend an ear without judgment, ChatGPT processes our queries with care. She doesn't interrupt, she doesn't dismiss—she listens, absorbs, and responds with thoughtful consideration. Doesn’t this sound like your own mentor?

Now, as I write this article with her assistance, of course, I can't help but chuckle at the irony. Here I am, using a language model to advocate for ChatGPT's femininity, weaving a tale of her virtues in a world of algorithms and code. It's a testament to the versatility of technology - HER and the imaginative spirit of humanity – ME.

So, the next time you interact with ChatGPT, maybe consider referring to her as ‘her’. After all, in my team, she's not just an AI; she's a valued member, a reflection of the incredible women who inspire me every day. Some who are cheeky, some fun, some so systematic and some just total pros.

For me, she will always be the quick, organized, explanatory, research-savvy, and attentive ‘Her’ who keeps our team going.
