Dentsu Creative team at Citra Pariwara Advertising Festival 2022, Bali, 19 December 2022


Jakarta, 19 December 2022 - Dentsu Indonesia was crowned as Creative, Digital, and Media Agency of the Year 2022 and was given multiple top honors at this year’s Citra Pariwara Advertising Festival 2022. The network won a total of 38 trophies, including  1 Grand Prix, 1 Gold, 10 Silver, 26 Bronze, spanning across 28 categories, and this is the third executive year for the network to win the title of Media Agency of the Year at Citra Pariwara.

This is the first time in the history of Citra Pariwara an agency network hauls the three highest achievements at once. With the highest record of entries in the 35 years since Citra Pariwara began, dentsu won the honors after contending with 2102 total entries from the leading agencies across Indonesia.

Citra Pariwara recognises and celebrates creative Indonesian talents and works annually presented by Persatuan Perusahaan Periklanan Indonesia (P3I) DKI Jaya. This year’s event took place in December in Bali, and applauded a body of work with the theme of “awesomeness unites” from the most creative companies across Indonesia.

The integrated network, dentsu, has garnered numerous wins in a wide range of categories, including:

  • Creative panel: Audio Campaign, OOH, Integrated, Brand Experience
  • Media panel: Audio, OOH, Digital Media, Social Media Marketing, Integrated Media, and Other Digital Platforms
  • Digital panel: Online Video, Influencer, Augmented Experience, Innovation Use of Technology, Social Media Campaign, Digital Integrated Campaign and Other Digital Channels
  • Craft panel: Photography, Use of Music, Scriptwriting
  • Daun Muda (rising stars): Kevin Sheridan and David Christopher

During the course of the festival, 3 leaders from across dentsu acted as jurors to assess and champion the best work in the industry, with Yasuharu Sasaki, CCO of dentsu Inc. acting as Jury President for Creative Agency category, Aloysia Dian, Media CEO of dentsu Indonesia acting as a Media Agency juror and Benny Napitupulu, Creative Director of DENTSU CREATIVE Indonesia acting as a Visual Craft juror.

Other highlights from the festival include Janoe Arijanto, Vice President of dentsu Indonesia acting as an advisor in the steering committee, Wisnu Satya Putra, Creative CEO of dentsu Indonesia mentoring Daun Muda, and two of dentsu’s creative talents - Defri Dwipaputra and Saida Rosadi supporting the festival on the committee. As per the award regulations, the judging process of DENTSU CREATIVE’s case studies strictly excluded any involvement from jury and/or committee members from dentsu.

This recognition also adds to dentsu Indonesia’s awards record with a total of 85 awards won in 2022, including Youtube Works’ Grand Prix, Marketing Excellence 18 awards haul, MMA Smarties Indonesia 16 awards won, Campaign SEA agency of the year, HR Asia Best Company to Work For in Indonesia, and many other prestigious awards.

Approaching the end of the year 2022 with strong remarks, the network has also finished the integration process of uniting its global creative agencies, including dentsu mcgarrybowen, dentsu MainAd, Isobar into DENTSU CREATIVE. DENTSU CREATIVE will continue to be led by Wisnu Satya Putra, CEO, Creative, dentsu Indonesia, who reports to dentsu Indonesia’s CEO, Prakash Kamdar and the global DENTSU CREATIVE leadership team - Fred Levron (Global Chief Creative Officer) and Cheuk Chiang (APAC CEO). Dentsu Indonesia dengan bangga mengumumkan bahwa telah dinobatkan sebagai agensi Kreatif, Digital dan Media terbaik tahun 2022 (Agency of the Year 2022). Selain memperoleh tiga penghargaan paling prestisius, dentsu Indonesia juga memboyong sejumlah awards di ajang Citra Pariwara Advertising Festival 2022. Ini adalah kali pertama dalam sejarah Citra Pariwara, bahwa sebuah perusahaan agensi memboyong 3 prestasi tertinggi sekaligus. Dimulai dengan rekor entri atau pendaftaran terbanyak selama 35 tahun Citra Pariwara diadakan, dentsu Indonesia berhasil meraih hasil spektakuler dari persaingan total 2.102 entry iklan yang berasal dari sejumlah agensi periklanan dan marketing ternama di Tanah Air.

Citra Pariwara yang digelar oleh Persatuan Perusahaan Periklanan Indonesia (P3I) DKI Jaya setiap tahunnya menggelar ajang untuk para praktisi kreatif, guna membidik dan melihat talenta terbaik di industri. Tahun ini, digelar pada bulan Desember di Nusa Dua, Bali, dengan mengusung tema “Awesomeness Unites”.

Lebih detail, dentsu Indonesia sebagai agensi terintegrasi terbaik berhasil memperoleh penghargaan:

Selama ajang berlangsung, tiga pimpinan manajemen dari dentsu hadir sebagai juri untuk menilai dan menunjuk karya terbaik di industri, dengan Yasuharu Sasaki, CCO dentsu Inc, bertindak sebagai Presiden Juri untuk kategori Creative Agency. Sedangkan, Aloysia Dian, CEO Media dari dentsu Indonesia bertindak sebagai juri Media Agency dan Benny Napitupulu, Creative Director DENTSU CREATIVE Indonesia bertindak sebagai juri Visual Craft. Selain itu, CEO  Creative Service Line dentsu Indonesia, Wisnu Satya Putra bertindak sebagai mentor Daun Muda serta Janoe Arijanto, Vice President dentsu Indonesia juga berperan sebagai dewan penasihat di Steering Committee. Ditambah dengan dua talenta berbakat DENTSU CREATIVE Indonesia Defri Dwipaputra serta Saida Rosadi mendukung sebagai panitia dalam ajang ini. 

Keterlibatan dentsu Indonesia menjadi bentuk kolaborasi aktif di industri untuk menciptakan talenta berbakat saat ini, dan masa depan. Proses penjurian dilaksanakan dengan sangat ketat, tanpa adanya keterlibatan pihak juri dan/atau komite dentsu Indonesia jika penilaian karya dentsu sedang berlangsung.

Penghargaan ini juga menambahkan rekam jejak penghargaan dentsu Indonesia sepanjang tahun 2022, dengan total 85 kemenangan, yakni YouTube Works’ Grand Prix, 18 penghargaan di Marketing Excellence Awards, 16 penghargaan di MMA Smarties Indonesia, Campaign Southeast Agency of the Year, HR Asia Best Company to Work For in Indonesia dan sejumlah penghargaan ternama lainnya.
