By uniting these two award-winning agencies, with the creative reputation of Dentsu Brand Agencies in Asia and mcgarrybowen's ability to deliver 'Big Organising Ideas' through its platform for strategy and creative transformation, this new brand establishes an unparalleled network of creative agencies spanning the Americas, Asia Pacific and Europe.
This new global operation is part of the newly formed Creative Line of Business on the Dentsu Aegis Network, which includes creative, content, design and outside experience agencies from Japan, including Dentsu, Isobar, John Brown and PR brand agencies such as Mitchell.
Jean Lin, Global CEO, Creative, Dentsu Aegis Network commented, "This is the next final step in Dentsu Aegis Network's ambition to grow a world-class creative and experienced global offering and an idea-driven practice with innovation and technology at its heart. In this new world, businesses and brands need more than ever to differentiate themselves with authenticity, and to build trust, consumers need to see and feel this behavior at every touch point of the brand". The formation of dentsumcgarrybowen, together with the rich experience of sister agency Isobar, will enable Dentsu Aegis Network to deliver powerful global solutions to our customers through creative experiences on a scale throughout the customer's journey".
Merlee Jayme, Co-President, dentsumcgarrybowen said, "We are pleased to launch dentsumcgarrybowen and continue to grow our offering of innovative strategic and creative solutions for our clients. With a long reputation for world-class creative ideas, combining the legacy and heritage of the East with the entrepreneurial spirit of the West, we are excited to evolve into dentsumcgarrybowen and look forward to entering this new chapter with our teams around the world and delivering unparalleled work for all our clients".
Jon Dupuis, Co-President, dentsumcgarrybowen said, "We are creating a next-generation global creative agency built on one fundamental premise: clients deserve the best. Our goal is to build a network for the needs of today's and tomorrow's clients and meet their needs for strategic and creative expertise on a global scale. We will partner with clients to create 'work that wins in the world', helping them to highlight their strengths and apply them to help brands win - beyond their category, in culture and with consumers.
In Brazil, the Dentsu and mcgarrybowen agencies operated independently, but under the same leadership; since June 2017 Mario D'Andrea has been the CEO of the Dentsu Creative Group, under which the two agencies were based. With the launch of dentsumcgarrybowen, the Dentsu Creative Group no longer exists.
As there are no account conflicts, the original portfolios and teams of the two agencies are united. Together, the two teams now form a large team of 150 professionals serving 18 clients, such as Toyota, SulAmérica, Subway, Nissin, Ajinomoto, Canon, United, Microsoft, Intel and others.
For Eduardo Bicudo, CEO Dentsu Aegis Network (DAN) Brazil, "the birth of dentsumcgarrybowen further strengthens our group's creative line and the way we believe in creativity for our customers, their businesses and consumers. As in the rest of the world, both in Dentsu Brazil and mcgarrybowen, we have deepened our relationships and today we are our clients' business partners. We think, create and develop together. With two brands that already had a strong connection here in Brazil, the natural way was to bring them together in this way. Our clients deserve the best and, no doubt, with dentsumcgarrybowen we have gathered great talent, creativity, structure and other attributes to achieve our mission of offering 'Work that wins in the world'".
Mario D'Andrea, CEO of the new dentsumcgarrybowen, highlights the strength of the new agency: "Dentsu Brazil and mcgarrybowen have always been very present in our clients' businesses, walking side by side. Our new brand puts our business on another level, even higher; it unites, no doubt, even stronger partnerships, the best talents and knowledge, the best ideas. And the main thing: our clients have access to a global creative offer and the most advanced platforms and tools to transform their business. “
dentsumcgarrybowen will serve some of the world's most iconic companies: Ajinomoto, American Express, Asahi Breweries, Canon, Disney, Hershey, Kao, Marriott, Shiseido, Subway, The Coca-Cola Company, Toyota, and United Airlines.
