What was your starting position at dentsu?
When I joined on October 21, 2010, I started my journey as a Digital Art Director at Digital Republic, which was later acquired by Dentsu.
What inspired you to follow this career path?
I have always had a passion for both art and technology. This led me to pursue a career that combines these two interests and allows me to create innovative and immersive experiences through creative technology.
What was your experience of getting into the industry?
When I first entered the industry, I immersed myself in learning about coding, robotics, and various artistic techniques. I actively sought opportunities to apply my skills and gain practical experience through internships and personal projects. This helped me build a strong foundation and opened doors for me to enter the industry.
What were some big opportunities that shaped your career?
One of the biggest opportunities that shaped my career was the chance to work on high-profile campaigns and projects. Through the experiences I gained from working with dentsu, I was able to collaborate with talented individuals, expand my skill set, and gain exposure to different aspects of the industry. These opportunities allowed me to grow both professionally and creatively.
What challenges did you face?
Like any career, I faced various challenges throughout my journey. Some of the common challenges included limited knowledge in certain areas, working within tight client budgets, and facing stiff competition in the market. However, these challenges have helped me develop resilience, adaptability, and the ability to find innovative solutions.
Looking back, what opportunities do you wish you had when starting out?
When I look back on my career journey, I feel grateful for the opportunities and resources I had access to. I believe that the support and guidance provided by the management during my early years as Creative Technologist were instrumental in my growth. If anything, having a larger team with diverse skill sets would have allowed us to work more efficiently and produce results at an even faster pace.
