Dentsu appoints Annette Male to drive integrated growth and innovation

Dentsu today announces the appointment of Annette Male in the dual role of Chief Business Officer, EMEA, and Chief Client Officer, UK&I. Male will scale dentsu’s integrated offering across key EMEA clients in line with the company’s commitment to driving growth through innovating to impact, leveraging the collective strengths of transformative creativity, media, data, and technology.

The role will supercharge dentsu’s long-term partnerships with the world’s biggest brands and pioneer new agile service and delivery model to provide greater flexibility and unlock new transformative value for its clients. With the UK&I as a critical growth market for EMEA, this new hire will have a strong focus in this key cluster to further build on bringing together the best of its capabilities to deliver integrated growth for brands who want and need something different from the traditional agency network model. Male will report to Andre Andrade, CEO EMEA, and Angela Tangas, CEO UK&I and will be valuable member of both the EMEA and UK&I Executive leadership teams.

Male brings to dentsu nearly 30 years’ experience in marketing and technology. A results-oriented leader, Male has worked with a renowned portfolio of brands including HSBC, Visa, Disney, Nestle and Unilever. Most recently, she has held APAC leadership roles including heading up the Global Agency partnerships for Meta across the region. Prior to this, she served as the APAC CEO for both Wunderman Thompson and Digitas. After nine years in Singapore, Male will be returning to London to take up this position.

This new role is the latest in a stellar line up of senior talent to join the dentsu UK&I leadership team, alongside Jenny Bullis Media Practice CEO, Jessica Tamsedge CEO dentsu Creative, Indy Saha Chief Experience Officer, and Dan Truman Chief Strategy Officer, to support rapid expansion of its client portfolio and large-scale integrated business transformation briefs.

Male will start in her role on 8 July 2024.
