In his role as the head of Dentsu Creative, Chris oversees the day-to-day operations of the agency and sets the tone for creative excellence, while leading a team of creative, strategy and production experts to create excellent works. As the Chief Creative Officer for dentsu China, Chris is devoted to inspiring the constant evolution of dentsu’s 123-year heritage across the China network through the power of Transformative Creativity.
An architect and solutionist for brands and businesses’ transformation, Chris combines craft, innovation and technology, commerce, and a deep understanding of modern media and culture, to creative the most authentic and relevant experience that truly engages consumers. Meanwhile, he inspires clients to achieve a sustainable balance - Growth through Good, making a positive impact on society while driving business growth.
The winner of Campaign AOY Greater China’s Creative Person of the Year 2019 and Agency Head of the Year 2016, Chris leads a team of 200+ creatives that have won 3 Cannes Lions in 5 five years - two Creative Commerce Lions in 2019 and 2023, an Outdoor Lion in 2024. Besides, they have been honored with over 800 awards globally, including LIA, Greater China Most Effective Agency Office/Network of the Year at Effie, and Campaign Agency of the Year Greater China. Chris has been the jury for many prestigious awards such as Cannes Digital Craft and Creative Data Lion, the New York Festival, Spikes Asia, and D&AD. He also served at MMA APAC’s advisory board and acting as president at MMA SMARTIES China Awards. Notably, he has been invited to speak at Cannes Lions in 2018 and 2024 respectively.
Prior to joining dentsu in 2013, Chris founded Trio Digital in Taipei in 1999 and later relocated the company to Shanghai in 2002. He then led the company to be part of dentsu’s Isobar China Group, where he held the dual roles of CEO and ECD, responsible for overseeing the agency’s creativity and operations. In June 2022, dentsu brought together all its creative agencies to launch a new global creative network, Dentsu Creative, and Chris has been the Chief Creative Officer of Dentsu Creative China since then. In 2024, Chris assumed the position of Chief Creative Officer at dentsu China following the launch of one dentsu.
